Bizarre Stories Around the World: The Real Life Spider-Man

This is not a brief on your friendly neighborhood hero, Spiderman. This is a story about a man who changed his name legally to Spider Mann and is facing the consequences of his decision. While there are some who are busy writing classic stories and promoting them on eBook platforms like Selectvu, others are taking their love for a fictional character to the next level.

Since the name given to him was not cool enough for Mr. Mann, he decided to legally change his name in just a few steps. After spending about $115 and filing all the necessary paper work, a judge approved the name change. However, this is where it all began to go wrong.

Introductions where both hilarious and awkward, nobody believed him when he introduced himself as Spider Mann even after he showed them his legal IDs. Dating became a tough concept, since women thought it was utter nonsense. If for some reason, a woman agreed to go out with him, by the third date they would pressure him to reveal his real name or ask him to quit lying to them. These ladies even assumed that he might be under a witness protection program, was deceiving them or was just dragging a joke.

It was not only dates, he faced extreme difficulties in reserving restaurant tables, registering on any service online, and even renting a cab. Flying became an extremely difficult experience, since he was constantly 'randomly selected' for a security check. He has a tough time applying for jobs since no one would take an employee named Spider Mann seriously.

So why doesn't he change it back? When asked, he replied “It also brightens a lot of people's days. Every day, no matter what I do, when I meet someone, there is a fun interaction. I can tell that it makes their day that they met someone named Spider Mann.”

Life is all about reading such fun stories and smiling once in a while. With the advent of technology, reading for leisure has become easier with websites like Selectvu. The easy sign up process makes it especially convenient for readers.
